Shortly after my new-found popularity, people tried to coax me down to the street to pet me, but the street is dangerous. So my Dad made up a sign for everyone to read. There I am next to the sign; I'm so good.

When I was around three years old, I started having seizures (that was pretty scary). The Vet told my Mom and Dad to track how often and how long they lasted and if they became more frequent, they would have to medicate me. Then my seizures got to be as frequent as once a week. However, my Mom and Dad did a little research on the Internet and found that 85% of dog seizures is caused by the preservatives found in commercial dog food. So that's when I was put on an all natural dog food plan, which stopped the seizures immediately. Now, I've only had three mild ones in the last 5 years and that could possibly be from people giving me treats that I shouldn't eat (so, just say no to preservatives.)

Now on a lighter note, being a roof dog takes a lot of work. I hang out on the roof of the store, greet my fans, pose for pictures, bark at passing dogs beneath my rooftop perch, and also dress up in clothes for my own line of Picture Cards. I also have my own line of "The Roof Dog" clothing, consisting of T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats.

There are a lot of celebrities that come to the Vineyard. From my rooftop peak, I've watched Oprah and Diane Sawyer munching on fried clams, Tom Hanks and his family having lunch, David Letterman park illegally in front of our store and get a ticket (that was pretty funny), and a small horde of would-be paparazzi trying to get a picture of Bruce Willis.

Also, there was a big stink when President Bill Clinton came to our small town (Menemsha), but I never saw him. I did see Chelsea enjoying an ice cream cone though. Billy Baldwin and his wife Chynna came over to pet me (that was very nice). Michael J Fox and family are usually around town during the summer. And it's always nice to see Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson, they're such a cute couple. My Dad really got excited when Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones came into the store, I only get that excited when someone throws a tennis ball to me. I just love a good old tennis ball.

So when your on the Vineyard, come stop by to see me and say "Hi". If you don't see me on the roof, go in the store and ask my Dad or Mom if I can come out. I'm most likely inside the house, taking a snooze on the couch.
